About us
The Swiss Stem Cell Network (SSCN) is a Swiss non-profit association, neutral politically, non-denominational, which connects researchers active in stem cell research. The SSCN association is governed by the statutes found [here|link to file] and, secondly, by Articles 60 et seq. of the Swiss Civil Code.
The SSCN does not support stem cell based techniques that are not legal in Switzerland (e.g. reproductive cloning), nor the travel to another country where it is legal to benefit from it.
Personal Data
All the personal data of our members (e.g. email address, name, phone number, address, research information) were provided willingly at registration.
The sole purpose of these data is for the SSCN to foster interactions among scientists and with the society, as well as to contact its members for relevant matters (e.g. organizational, information, requests).
These data will never be shared to a third party, with the exception of legal requests from the Swiss government. The security of these data is important to the SSCN, but no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While the SSCN strives to use commercially acceptable means to protect these data, it cannot guarantee its absolute security.
Each member has the permanent right to request his/her personal data, amend it, delete it and to withdraw his/her consent of sharing these data.
Every member is responsible for keeping his/her personal data up-to-date. The SSCN can assume no responsibility for the validity of these personal data.
To update his/her personal data, a member should contact the SSCN directly.
